Children & Newborns

Safe, gentle, non-invasive care from the very start of life.

Osteopathic treatment of the newborn

Birth is one of the most physically demanding events of our lives. The compression of the skull bones during delivery can result in structural strain that lingers afterward. Osteopathic treatment for newborns is safe, gentle and non-invasive, and often requires anywhere from a single treatment to a short series of four to eight visits.

An osteopathic approach to neurodevelopmental problems

Strain patterns established at birth may contribute to developmental delays. Osteopathic medicine is based on the philosophy that structure and function are dynamically interrelated, so gently resolving physical restriction can support a child's healthy development.

Ear infections and sinusitis

Recurrent ear infections and sinusitis are often associated with fluid retention and restriction within the cranial mechanism. In a review of all of the childhood ear-infection cases seen in our office, 94% of patients had complete resolution within four visits using osteopathic manipulation alone — offering a gentle alternative to repeated courses of antibiotics.
